Anthony arrived at Sankaty in 2018 after learning about the program from a mentor at the golf club where he worked as a caddie in Florida.  Anthony was always a hard worker on the golf course, but during his time with us he brought this effort and discipline to the classroom.

He credits the people involved in the Sankaty Head Caddie Program for inspiring him to push himself academically during his time at Clemson University. While majoring in finance with a minor in accounting, he was recognized on the President’s List or Dean’s list every semester.  Anthony is now working as an Analyst at Peterson Partners in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Alexander arrived at Sankaty via the First Tee of Western Michigan.  After spending four summers caddying at Sankaty from 2019-2023, he earned a Sankaty Head Foundation-Evans Scholarship where he attended the University of Michigan. He credits the profound and lasting impact the Sankaty Head Caddie Program had on his life trajectory.

“Both the SHCP and Evans Foundation, in their own way, have shaped me through a shared commitment to opportunity, character, and community. The lessons I learned as a caddie at Sankaty—humility, work ethic, and integrity—carried through my college experience.”

Today Alexander is a Recruitment Consultant at LVI Associates (a Phaidon International brand). He specializes in headhunting top engineering talent and consulting with engineering companies to optimize their hiring strategies.

Joe came to Sankaty in 2023 due to a relationship developed between the Harold Varner Foundation (HV3) in Charlotte, NC and the Sankaty Head Caddie Program.  Joe was a kind, thoughtful young man when he arrived but struggled to communicate with both peers and adults.

“Caddying forced me to learn to carry a conversation with my golfers.  It was not easy for me at first, but the more time I spent at Sankaty the more I realized that people cared about me.”

Joe has developed into not only a great caddie, but one of the most personable members of the SHCP.  Joe was awarded a Sankaty Head Foundation-Evans Scholarship and will be attending the University of Maryland.
