Program Information
Sankaty Head Caddie Program application is open on this page from October 15 until January 15. Applicants currently need to be in the 8th, 9th, or 10th grade. In addition to completing the application, a select group of applicants are chosen to interview for a position. Each year current caddies are selected to return for the following summer based on performance the previous year. This gives them an opportunity to grow as young men, to become better caddies, and to participate in all of the educational programs provided by the Sankaty Head Foundation.
Additionally, once a caddie has completed his sophomore year of high school, he is eligible to apply for a scholarship from the Sankaty Head Foundation. These valuable scholarships are awarded to distinguished caddies whose academic performance at their high school or college is exemplary.
The program starts in mid-June and lasts until August 23. Caddies are expected to stay for the duration of the summer unless academic commitments require them to arrive late or leave early.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Our Program Helps Set Caddies Up For Future Success

Once a caddie has completed two years at the SHCP, he is eligible to apply for a scholarship from the Sankaty Head Foundation. These valuable scholarships are awarded to distinguished caddies with exemplary academic performance at their high school or college. Many of our caddies are recipients of the Evans Scholarship—a full tuition and housing scholarship for high-achieving caddies with a strong caddie record, excellent academics, demonstrated financial need, and outstanding character.
Four caddies from the Sankaty Head Caddie Program were awarded the prestigious Evans Scholarship in January 2026, providing them with full tuition and housing for four years. The scholarships are awarded based on a strong caddie record, excellent academics, limited financial means, and strong character.
